Would all members please note that Section 16.(i) (Titled: Any other matters) from the AGM minutes 2013 is forbidden by the constitution of the Middlesex County Cricket League therefore Osterley CC will not be introducing performance awards. This is in relation to section “F. Eligibility of Players” of the MCCL constitution which states that “c. No player may receive from his Member Club any direct or indirect payment or expenses for playing cricket.”
Hence the Osterley CC Committee hereby rejects the proposal of making cash imbursements to players that perform as per original discussion at the AGM and rectify the statement from the AGM minutes that states “The elected committee decided that performances shall now be awarded from 2014. Players will be given cash incentives or rewards for scoring fifties, centuries and taking five wicket hauls etc. Every player’s effort for the success of the team will now be rewarded going forward.”
The committee will still reward the players for their good performances but it will only be in the form of a shield or trophy. This notice has been circulated to our member’s database and posted here on the website and social profiles.
